Step 1. Consultation & Trial
Visit Éclore Clinics for a private consultation. We assess your skin tone, hair type, and medical history to ensure a personalised and safe treatment. A trial session is performed to evaluate your skin’s response.
Step 2. Treatment Plan
Receive a personal plan with areas you want to treat, the recommended number of sessions per area, the suitable time between visits and associated costs.
Step 3. Treatment Sessions
The SplendorX applicator glides in fast, even motions across the skin – no gel or numbing cream required. Sessions last 5–20 minutes, depending on the area size and hair density.
Step 4. The Experience
You feel brief snaps of warmth as follicles are destroyed – a sign of effective response to laser. The SplendorX cooling system protects the skin for maximum comfort.
Step 5. Results

In any given area (face or body), hair follicles are not synchronised – they grow in different phases:

– Anagen (active growth) – Laser energy is only effective on follicles in this phase.

– Catagen (transition)

– Telogen (resting)

Since not all hairs are in the Anagen phase simultaneously, multiple sessions are required to permanently disable every follicle at the right growth phase.

The first four sessions are usually scheduled every six weeks, followed by two or more sessions every eight weeks.

Maintenance treatments for hormonal conditions (like PCOS or after pregnancy) may be required one to four times per year.

Not always. Men typically require more sessions due to:

Removing the hair from the root (e.g., plucking, waxing, or epilating) at any time during your treatment period means there is no target for the laser, making the treatment ineffective.

Laser should never be applied directly over tattooed skin, as the laser can be attracted to ink and may cause burns.

If the treatment is performed near a tattoo, a safe margin is marked around it and left untreated. Please mention any tattoos before your appointment to allow for proper treatment time adjustment.

Treatment times may be extended depending on individual needs.

Higher Hair Density: When hair is very thick or densely packed, laser must move at a slower pace to deliver energy without overheating or irritating your skin.

Tattoos: If a tattoo is located near the treatment area, extra time is taken to shield and work around the ink. Complex tattoo shapes may extend each session significantly.

Different Pain Thresholds: Sensitivity can vary on one area or different body areas. Your therapist may adjust the laser settings constantly to maintain your comfort while keeping the treatment effective.

– Any active skin diseases, infections or inflammatory skin conditions

– Use of photosensitive medications (e.g., isotretinoin, antibiotics)

– Sun exposure or any form of tanning 4 weeks prior to treatment

– Recent treatments (chemical peels, microneedling, radio frequency, injectables) 2 weeks prior to treatment

– Use of active skincare ingredients (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs) 2 weeks prior prior to treatment

– Presence or history of skin cancer, cold sores or keloid scars

– Pregnancy, breastfeeding or uncontrolled hormonal disorders

Body Areas Respond Differently To Laser

If you’re treating both upper lip and armpits at the same time, you might notice hair shedding begins on the armpits days or weeks before the upper lip.

Each body area has its own growth cycle length, hormonal influence, and follicle depth, which explains why results may appear faster in some areas than others.

This is also why your therapist may recommend more sessions for one area than another.

– Faster result areas (e.g., legs or bikini line) – the hair is thicker, darker, and less hormonally influenced.

– Slower results areas (e.g., face or navel line) – thinner hair and more hormone sensitive.

Areas with high hair density may also take longer time to respond.
