Laser Care Guide

Laser hair removal is a highly controlled procedure at Éclore Clinics.

While every session is performed with precision and care, laser safety is a shared responsibility between therapists and clients.

This guide has been carefully designed with all the information you need before, during, and after your treatment – ensuring a seamless experience and refined results.

Treatment Preparation Timeline

4 Weeks Before Treatment

– Avoid waxing, plucking, threading, or epilation. Switch to shaving only.

– Do not use sun tanning, sun beds, or self-tanning products.

– Protect exposed skin daily with SPF 30+.

– For sensitive skin, use a barrier-repair moisturiser and avoid alcohol-based or fragranced products.

2 Weeks Before Treatment

– Pause active skincare (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs).

– Avoid deep peels, microneedling, or RF treatments on the area.

– Keep the skin calm and hydrated.

1 Day Before Treatment

– Shave the area within 24 hours before your appointment. Leave a small patch (around 1/2 cm) of visible hair so the therapist can assess thickness, colour, and density.

– For sensitive skin; shave gently with a new, sharp razor and use a non-foaming, fragrance-free shave gel.

On the Day of Your Appointment

– Arrive with clean skin – no makeup, lotion, deodorant, or fragrance.

– Wear loose, comfortable clothing for body treatments.

– Maintain thorough hygiene before your visit.

Laser Session Safety & Experience

– Small treatment areas take around 5 minutes, while larger areas take up to 20 minutes.

– It is mandatory to wear the protective eyewear provided for the entire duration of your session.

– You may feel brief snaps of warmth or a gentle pinching sensation – often compared to the flick of a light rubber band.

– Your feedback during treatment is valuable – as some areas may feel more sensitive than others.

– Calmly communicate any sensation that feels uncomfortable to your therapist.

– Mild warmth or redness is expected – a positive indication that follicles have responded effectively.

Aftercare & Skin Response

First 24–48 Hours

– Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense activity.

– Do not apply deodorant, perfume, or make-up on the treated areas.

– Use cool compresses or a soothing, fragrance-free moisturiser if the skin feels warm or tender.

– Protect the area from sunlight with SPF 30+.

– If your skin is sensitive, continue applying a soothing cream and sunscreen (also indoors).

First 7–10 Days

– Avoid exfoliating treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, or RF treatments on the area.

– Do not scrub or pick at shedding hairs – allow them to fall out naturally.

– Keep your skincare gentle and fragrance-free to support the skin’s natural healing.

First 2–4 Weeks

– Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products.

– Keep the skin hydrated and protected from UV exposure.

– If new hairs appear finer or lighter, this indicates that your treatment is progressing effectively.

Results & Consistency

Laser hair removal works progressively. Because only a portion of your hair is actively growing at any given time (anagen phase), skipping or delaying sessions can cause some follicles to not be treated at the right time. This may reduce overall effectiveness and increase the total number of sessions required.

Attending each session as advised allows newly active hairs to be targeted at the right time, ensuring steady, visible improvement after every visit.

What’s Normal vs. When to Contact Us

While every client’s experience is unique, mild reactions are part of the skin’s natural healing process after laser treatments.

Understanding what’s normal helps you feel calm in your recovery – and knowing when to contact us ensures your safety at every step.

Normal Skin Responses After SplendorX Laser Hair Removal:

– Redness or warmth, similar to light sun exposure.

– Subtle swelling around hair follicles (a light “goosebump” texture).

– Itching or tingling sensations as follicles react to the laser.

– Shedding of treated hairs that appear as new growth (normal before falling).

– Temporary dryness or mild flaking as the skin renews.

These effects are expected and indicate that the follicles have responded well. Continue using soothing products and sunscreen until the skin fully settles.

When to Contact Éclore Clinics:

– Redness, swelling, or warmth lasting longer than 72 hours.

– Blistering, crusting, or any sign of infection.

– Noticeable discolouration that doesn’t fade within a few days.

– Increasing or sharp discomfort.

– Flare-ups of conditions such as eczema, herpes simplex, or psoriasis.

If you experience any of the above or anything that feels unusual or persistent:

– Don’t apply any products.

– Take a clear, well-lit photo of the affected area.

– Contact us before applying any home remedies.

Most post-laser reactions resolve quickly with calm, proper care and professional advice.

If you’re uncertain about your skin’s response, our therapists are here to guide and reassure you – it’s always best to ask, even for the smallest concern.

Éclore Clinics Standards & Policies

We uphold laser safety standards with absolute precision and care.

Each treatment is measured and intentional – performed using world-class technology and guided by expert therapists trained to assess, adapt, and act with caution at every step.

While we maintain uncompromising safety protocols, treatment outcomes also depend on factors beyond the clinic, such as proper preparation and aftercare between sessions.

For this reason, Éclore Clinics reserves the right to decline or discontinue laser treatments if the guidelines outlined on this page are not followed, or if proceeding would compromise client safety or professional standards.

This includes missed preparation or aftercare, unreported changes in health or medication, or disregard for hygiene and professional boundaries.

These measures exist to protect your safety and preserve our commitment to excellence.
